Joseph and Philomena Santucci open the first Santucci’s Pizza in their home on “O” Street in the Juniata Park section of Northeast Philadelphia

1959-1993
A square pizza, with sauce placed on top of fresh mozzarella cheese, was unconventional and became a beloved Philadelphia staple

1993
Their daughter, Teresa Santucci, along with her husband Gene open their first location on Cottman Avenue in the Mayfair section of Northeast Philadelphia

1996
Teresa and Gene open their second location on Tyson Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia

2015
Teresa and Gene’s son, Nicky, joins the family business and relocates the Tyson Avenue store to Warminster PA

2019
Teresa Santucci adds “Philomena” to her business name to honor her mother for Santucci’s 60th anniversary!

2020
Philomena’s Homemade Sauces launch into 140 retail stores throughout PA & NJ

2021
Nicky opens a third location in Hatfield PA and plans further expansion throughout the Philadelphia suburbs
